-------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has come to my attencion that people are curious as to the reson why I've requested to remain at the trooper level within the CyberArmy.

Well there are several reasons, some personal. The ones I can devulge are as follows:

1. I can niether manage my brigade more efficiently nor command less efectively.

2. I do this because I like it, it's a passion for me. I'm not here for a shiny star. I'm here because I belive in the cause, I like what I do, and I'm proud of my work. long story short: I don't want people thinking I do what I do because of some alterier motive. I recal one particular discussion on IRC with a couple very active members who were trying to one up each other.
Mod:"What do you do in CA?"
A:"Well I do this and this and this and...."
B:"Oh yeah? Well I do this and this and this too!"
C:"That's nothing, I do such and such and laddy dah"

It would seem they were trying so hard to be involved in everything, looking for advancement. That's just not right in my eyes. People should do something because they want to, because they like it and fuck cares if they get promoted for it.

3. I've grown to steadily hate the ranks.

4. I've a tendency to actually say what I'm thinking which people don't seem to take to well to. Especialy Staff (notice capital S) which in short means that no matter what I do I'd never make it to Staff and in my eye the rest of the ranks mean jack shit. A member of Staff once told me (back when I was ltker.) to learn to keep my peace, work hard and eventually I'd make it to Staff.

On this note, just recently I had a short discussion with another member of Staff. The following is part of a log:
<SomeOne> "the tallest blade of grass is the first to be cut by the lawnmower"
<tulkas> tell me about it
<SomeOne> so ... I tend to keep certain issues internal
<tulkas> but it's the fear of the lawnmower that needs to be beaten back
<SomeOne> it's called "choosing your battles"
<tulkas> if there is too many tall blades of grass....
<tulkas> they'll choke the lawmower's engine.

I refuse to back down on my belifes for anyone, otherwise how sacred are my belifes to me?

That said, bid you a good day, if you ever are in need of assiatance that is within my power to give, don't for a moment hesitate to ask.

*note* Those who know me know I have trouble spelling my nick, I apologize in advance for the numberous mistakes I'm sure are present.

~Peace
Tr. Tulkas; The tallest damn blade of grass in the feild.

*UPDATE* I've recently been bribed to take a promotion under the assuance that if I did I would be placed on staff. When will these people realize I'll never give up my stance that ranks suck. There's not a single reason that anyone has ever been able to give me to have them. Not *one* how sad...

<staffMember1> the issue came up about you being on staff
<tulkas> I'm not on staff
<tulkas> o_0
<StaffMember1> exactly
<tulkas> how can that be an issue
<tulkas> lol
<StaffMember1> well from what I can tell, people are interested in you
<StaffMember1> I think that's why they came to me
<StaffMember1> (of all people..)
<StaffMember2> oh :P
<tulkas> the only person I know was OtherStaffMember and HighRankingStaffMember, but I'm not entirely sure about HighRankingStaffMember just more a hunch
<StaffMember1> they won't do it with you being a trooper
<StaffMember1> you've argued with HighRankingStaffMember yourself I'd imagine
<tulkas> a few times
<StaffMember1> now I get your stand and think you've maybe made your point
<StaffMember2> so what they would want to jump him to ltker?
<StaffMember1> I'd imagine
<StaffMember1> I've felt those waters before
<Staffmember1> I don't see why they wouldn't
<tulkas> let me help you out here
<tulkas> no
<tulkas> :)
<StaffMember2> lol
<StaffMember1> I thought maybe you'd be willing to take a promotion under the assurance you'd make staff
