Where could my heart find refuge from itself?
Whither could I flee and can not follow?
Was there any place that I would not fall prey to myself?
~ St. Augustine, The Confessions Book 4 Chapter VII
It was proposed that I should put this in my plan for prosperity ... I thought about doing it before, but felt that that would be like "bragging" or "arrogance" or something like that ... but since it was proposed by others, hey, what the hell, ya know? This was a story that was used to confuse new lieutenants in the zebulun challenge, the original one actually was a vague "blueprint" to beating it, but once I made it to Major, the 0mega directive kinda forced me to rewrite it to one that only created confusion, due to the fact that the original one actaully helped, it caused this one to become a bit of a legend and helped to add to the believability that it was help, rather than smoke and mirrors, man, those were the days :)
When I made my way through this journey, I entered to find that the path had aged and was no longer accessible. There were many myths of an Idol that kept two very small demons as pets. This dangerous idol had two lesser demons chained at it's feet, that according to local myths, knew the great secrets Dominia and with these secrets, the portal of the PlanesWalkers would be revealed, allowing passage to the land of the Antient PlanesWalkers. This being my goal, I was interested in the local myths indeed. I could see no sign of the Idol, however, so I began to frequent the local Tavern to try and gather any information.
I wasted many moons of waiting and searching with many Great and Powerful artifacts, to no avail. In the moment of my deepest dispair, I overheard a visiting Antient PlanesWalker mention the Idol by name. I only caught a portion of it however. Fortunately, a short while later, I managed to attain the last portion of his name as well. The Idol anmed Vasgrave was my target. I also learned that the demons were named Coballa and Vermillia. After many days, out of frustration, i spoke a simple summon spell. It was in this way, that I gained posession of Vasgrave. Determined to gain Vasgrave's captive demon's secrets, I went in search of the Legendary Tools of the Gods to assist me. The first of these Legendary artifacts had broken the will of Vasgrave, it took much time to do so, but now I could interrogate the demons. Upon speaking to them, I found that they too, were loyal to their previous master. Another Enchanted Artifact, created by the same smiths who forged my first tool, had broken the will of Coballa in a matter of a few hours, however, the interrogation revealed very little information. simply a riddle he told to me, I could see no use for the answer to the riddle, I knew the answer, for they had taught me this riddle at the Rectory. As for the second of the Lesser demons, Vermilia, He still remained loyal to his original Master, I had to use a third artifact to get Vermillia to tell his secrets. Yet even then his secrets were useless to me. After many years in my dungeon, I had the demons beheaded.
Now, I had to assume that the old myths were not true. I had to find another way to gain acceptance by the Antient PlanesWalkers. I began again to search the local plane, in this search I then located the Secret Map to the Portal of the Antient PlanesWalkers. I quickly cast a "copy artifact" spell. Then I was free to use the portal at my leisure. I had to find the magic spell to activate the portal. For misspeaking it could send me to the Hall of the Tormented PlanesWalkers. It was, however quite easy to translate the magic spell that activated the portal, allowing me to pass to the next plane. For I had realized that the spell was based upon the riddle.
