Feedback Digest - December 2005

• Preview button when composing a cms: This request was to have a preview button when composing a cms before you send. We have implemented this and it is an available feature.
• Link to "My messages" even when your inbox is empty: Create a link to "My messages" where it says you have no messages that way you don't have to click on MyCA to compose a message. We have implemented this and the feature is now available.
• Hide Sered Ranks: This request was to have the option to hide Sered Ranks. We felt that showing your rank was a fundamental part of how CA works. We will not be implementing this.
• Commenting on File Submissions: It was requested we make it possible to make comments on the files submissions. We felt this was unnecessary and would just add more burden to people having to admin the forums. This will not be implemented.
• Sered Hall of Fame: It was requested we make the Sered Hall of Fame public, so you do not have to be logged into view it. This feature was implemented.

• Linux training program sold in the CA Store: It was requested that we create a Linux training program to go with the distributions we sell in the store. We felt we do not have the manpower to create this for the store. We will not be implementing this.
• Sered Banner image linked to https: The Sered Banner image was linked to https causing people to have to approve the certificate. This has been changed.

• Guests full IP shown on forums: The full IP of guests is shown when posts are viewed by thread but, partially hidden when in "normal" mode. This has been fixed; full IP's of guests are not shown at all.
• Forum Administration: When adding someone to an access list on the forums, it is case sensitive so people added with capital letters in their name can't see the forums. This has been fixed so the access lists are no longer case sensitive.
• Files, no link to download: When clicking on an item recently uploaded to files from the feed in /my/, there was no link to download the file. This has been fixed.
• View by thread: When using the view by thread option, the [delete] link (available to forum admins and moderators) was out of date, pointing to an incorrect location. This has now been fixed.
• Spamming the Public Forums: It was reported you could post on the public forum then stop it after a few seconds and re-post that same message over and over again possibly causing a flood on the boards. We felt at the moment we do not have any spam issues but if it becomes an issue at a later date we will re-address the issue.
• Challenge Query Link: The Challenge Query link was going to the wrong place. This has now been fixed.
