| Here are the hot topics from the staff board this week.

Forum modifications!: A BIG thanks goes out to Retired Mar. TheGame for his excellent work on the forum mods (as well as to the individuals who requested the changes!). Among the features added to the forum this week were:
- Hide Threads - this option allows you to view the forum in UBB-style where only the subjects are displayed rather than the entire thread
- Sort by Latest Post - this puts the threads with the newest replies at the top as opposed to keeping the threads in the order they were posted to the board
- Unbold posts - this option allows board moderators to unbold threads that are not classified as important announcements
- Improved navigation - next and previous buttons were added, as well as making the latest post in the forum list link to the actual post
- Signatures!! - Now when you click on Office and then Profiles, you'll notice a place to keep a Signature. This will automatically be appended to any posts you make on the boards (no more copying and pasting long strings of BB code! Yay! :D). Ker. In addition, a few forum bugs were squashed, including the removal of a post from the "latest post" list when it's removed from the forum and the auto-removal of http:// from image links.
Staff in Training Module: Mar. Dimplesx has developed a training module for up and coming staff members. This is a time-tiered system that will hopefully allow new staff members to integrate more smoothly with the rest of staff, and get started in their duties right away.
New Top-level C/O for CAU: Ker. Socrat was named the new C/O of CyberArmy University after Gen. Shepherd retired this week. Congrats, Socrat and we know you'll do well in this new position. :)
CyberArmy Brigade Data Integration: Vice-CinC Barnseyboy is leading a project to replicate OSI's remote information (such as GEEK level and the number of tutorials written on OSI's site) within the main CA site. If this project sees completion, this will hopefully pave the road for other brigades to accomplish the same thing with any relevant data they have.
Promotions Policy: Gen. Tacheon of CPC has taken a great initiative in developing promotion guidelines for members of his brigade. Other brigades will be developing similar guidelines in the future which should greatly help streamline the promotions process.
New promotions this week: 2nd Lt. Melborp (OSI), Lt. eval (CIA), 2nd Lt. versis (CIA), LtKer. CrashM (RR), Cap. LazyDave (SAS), and Ker. OmniOmi (SAS). Way to go, people! :D
