Ker. sieco promoted to staff!: We're very pleased to announce that Ker. sieco of CA-SAS was added to staff this week. Sieco has put tons of work into CA-SAS projects, is an active member of the promotion council, and is a really helpful and positive member in CA all around. Congratulations, sieco! :)
Dinah 0.6: Plans are under way for an upgrade to the CA code base in order to add flexibility. Features included in this release will be:
a) Separation of code logic and presentation
b) XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliant code across the site
c) A newer, "fresher" look for CA
Staff is hard at work preparing for this new upgrade, and we should hopefully have some things nailed down in the next few weeks.
New #cyberarmy access rules: Due in part to LtKer. Stillbourne's post, staff has discussed and determined new access rules in #cyberarmy in order to eliminate some of the problems. Detailed information about the new structure is available here:

Remote authentication: Discussions are also going on about the feasibility and methods around creating remote authentication to CyberArmy.com. This would allow remote brigade sites to confirm members are who they claim to be, as well as provide a single login/password to remember for the CA site, for the G.E.E.K. challenges, for submitting stories to zZine, etc. This is in the preliminary feasibility study phase, so expect more detailed information in the coming weeks.
Promotions this week: We've had *tons* of promotions this week, which is in part why this report is a little late (sorry, folks! :\). Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone, but if I have, please find me and smack me over the head with something large. ;) But first tell me who I forgot so I can mention them next week instead. *lol*
