Last month when it came time for the Word from the CinC, I opted to hold off for another month so that I could get the clearest possible picture of where CyberArmy is now, and to give my predecessor the floor for one last time.
During this past month a lot of things have come to pass that will give me a good starting point toward where I would like to see CyberArmy go. We now have a new set of challenges called Sered, that will help us bring new members to CyberArmy and bring back some of our older inactive members. This was no easy task. Gen. Goldfish and his team deserve all the credit for developing this high quality set of challenges.
We have recently had two new staff members, anvar and fu; who have also assumed command of their brigades, SOS and CPC. They both have extensive plans for where they want to take each of their brigades. I am anxious to see where those plans lead them. Also, while snarkles did step down from her role as CinC, she has remained on as a CinC Advisor and continues to be a huge asset to CA. Scanjack has also returned to active duty and is working as a CinC Advisor he will be assisting me and working with the Brigade Coordinators.
Now that we have covered the past, let's look at what the future holds. We are currently working to bring the Projects system online which will serve to compliment our brigades by allowing for easier organization of inter-brigade work, and of the projects that are not held by any specific brigade. Also, over the next couple months I will be pushing the Brigades and Brig Coordinator to develop solid goals and ensure all the brigades are working in the right direction.
In addition, I will be working to develop our IRC network to provide services to a more diverse group. By reaching out to other groups with similar interests, we can help to drive additional people into CA.
In conclusion I am proud of the opportunity to direct Cyberarmy's future endeavors.
