Feedback Digest - August 2007

• Skill Set Search: One user enquired as to whether we had a facility to search members' skillsets. This feature is indeed available at /recruiting/.
• Library Graphics Repository: A user requested a graphics repository for the library to store images for articles. We have added a Library category to the /files/ repository - please use this for any files or images that you wish to link to from an article. Ideally you should include the name of the article in your file description as we may clear out any files that are not used for library purposes.
• Incorrect Article Authors: Some of the articles in the library appear to be accredited to the wrong author. i.e. you will see 'written by ...' a different user at the bottom of the article. All articles were imported with the user that was set as the author on the site they were originally on (zZine or CAU KB). However, in the past, a different user sometimes added the article than actually wrote them. If you spot any of these articles, please submit the article id (or full URL) to Feedback, and we will correct the article.

• Brigade Command Typo: It was pointed out that there was a typo in part of the brigade command panel. This has now been corrected.
• zZine Banner Ad: A user alerted us to the fact we still had banners up for zZine. We have removed the banners.
• CA navbar: The site navigation bar on some of the subdomains (e.g. CA Search and CQDB) was out of date. This has been corrected.
• Rank Pictures: A member noted that some rank images had a background that did not quite match the site background. Thanks to purefreak, the main rank images have now been updated to have a transparent background.

• Expired IRC Certs: A member informed us that the IRC server SSL Certificates had expired. I believe the current situation is that most of the servers now have updated certificates.
• Expired Site Cert: The main site SSL certificate also expired - the certificate has been renewed.
• IRC Chat Applet: For a while a few members have had different problems with the IRC chat applet on the site. As such we have made the decision to remove the applet completely - in its place you will now find IRC network details and links to further information for connecting.
• Brigade Queues: In the command panel brigade queue, a username would link to their email address for contact purposes. It was pointed out that throughout the site we normally link to and use cMS. As such it has been updated to a cMS link.
• IRC Authcode: A user had problems retrieving their IRC authentication code. If you have any IRC related problems, try joining #help where an operator will be able to assist you.
• Project Invite List: One member had a problem with the limited size on the invite list for projects. The size has been increased.
• Change Password: Users have been having problems changing their passwords. Although we believe the form is working correctly, the error messages were not being displayed. This has now been corrected.
