Here I list the most popular file sharing apps (8 of them) for you with some info and links so you can choose the one that suits you best! :)

The Perfect File Sharing App (for you)

KaZaA/Morpheus
  • good for mainstream music and movies
  • good for dialup plus, but files are encoded at a max of 128 Kbps
  • LINK
iMesh
  • great for movies and tv shows
  • very reliable for all users
  • LINK
BearShare
  • apparently good for software manuals and such, pretty good for music and video also. Connects to the gnotella network.
  • pretty poor resume features make this app a little unreliable
  • LINK
WinMX
  • good for hard to find music, average when it comes to other files
  • ok for most users even dialup, sometimes a little dodgy there and there
  • LINK
Grokster
  • good quality music (CD quality - more than 128 Kbps) and movies
  • it looks similar to kazaa but has a very good resume function
  • LINK
Gnotella
  • good for music, video, books but a bit on the dodgy side when it comes to graphics
  • it has a ratings system and a good resume feature making it good for all sers
  • LINK
LimeWire
  • also connects to the gnotella network, pretty average to good for pretty much anything you might be looking for
  • don't use it if you're on dialup, simple as that. I don't like this app much.
  • LINK
Audiogalaxy Satellite
  • music mainly, but searches ftp sites for other stuff if you like
  • good stable for all users even the humble dialup
  • LINK
That's all for now!
