Microsoft has detailed its plans to as many as 30 corporations as partners under non-disclosure agreements. Two of these are AMD and Intel in which are manufacturing specially modified components that NGSCB requires

Whitfield Diffie, a distinguished engineer at Sun Microsystems Laboratories calls out Microsoft as lending ".... itself to market domination, lock out, and not really owning your own computer. That's going to create a fight that dwarfs the debates of the 1990's." as he spoke at the RSA Conference in San Francisco Monday April 14th.

Microsoft in May plans to show early prototypes of computers using its Next-Generation Secure Computing Base (NGSCB) technology
