A Microsoft spokesmen announced yesterday that the soon to be released 'Longhorn' will include an integrated RSS feed system to make it easier for both users and developers to subsribe to and work with feeds.
The announcement came at an IT conference hosted in Seattle that was dedicated to new communications technologies, called "Gnomedex". A large majority of the talk was related to RSS, a systemized approach that automates delivery of website content to email inboxes and other websites newsfeeds.

Dean Hachamovitch, a general manager on the Longhorn team at Microsoft, wears an RSS button on his shoes yesterday at the conference.

The general manager of the Longhorn team at Microsoft, Dean Hachamovitch, was said to have been wearing an RSS button on his sneakers at the conference - perhaps further proof Microsoft is extremely interested in this technology?

The conference was divided in their opinion concerning Microsoft's plans to integrate RSS into Longhorn. Some questioning their motivation, believing that Microsoft may want to play a huge hand in the future of the technology and its direction. Other conference go'ers were just plain pleased at Microsoft's attempt to integrate itself further into the world of technological convenience.
