Sorry to be the 'fuddy duddy' but perhaps there is a reason why your school has blocked myspace. There is the obvious, that you should be spending your time at school receiving an education rather than reading second-rate social networking sites, but there is more to it than this.

Lets say you go on to a site like this and cause some kind of trouble, it will be your school's ISP and ultimately the school itself that will get the flak for your activities. They haven't blocked it because they want to be assholes. Frankly, your school, or their appointed network administrator have *every right* to limit your internet usage when you are using their hardware.

Fortunately for you, many sysadmins who work in the public sector (though not all) are not the best of breed, so you might get away with using a proxy to tunnel your requests. However, if you are unlucky enough to get have a school sysadmin who has half a clue, or if you are stupid enough to tell other people how to access myspace via a proxy from your school network (enough for the proxy hits to become notiable in the access logs) then expect, at the very least, to have your internet privileges permanantly revoked, and quite possibly to receive other kinds of repremands from your school (suspension?).

Is it worth it, just so you can read "OMG LOLZ BBQ!!" rubbish on myspace? Hell, if you said you needed access to do something that required some intelligence I would at least give you credit for taking control of your own education by 'myspace'?? You brain will just dribble from your ears!
