I've read the FAQ over at ZZine and theres still a few things I'm not certain on

Is C-rank dependent on your position in the brigade system. This would make most sense as I see it, with rank being how many rungs down the brigade ladder you were. This may be the case, but I couldn't tell from the faq.

Shouldn't the ranks be reset? At the curerent moment, my "c-rank" is dependent on how I fared in zebulun. The cyberarmy heirarchy remains unchanged. Does this mean I will not be as eligible for brigade work as say, a LtKer?

I'm still a little uncertain how it all works, but not doubt it will all become clearer in time :)

No. Your brigade position is irrelevent to your C-rank. You *can* be a C-rank Trooper and be commanding a C-rank Kernel in a brigade (though this typically wouldn't happen :))

Think of your brigade position as how much your trust-level with your C/O. If your C/O knows you to be a good leader, be an effective manager, etc. he/she will more than likely put you higher up in the tree, as a reflection of that.

You C-rank is a reflection of your overall contribution to CA as a whole. Being a hard-working brigade member will definitely influence this probably the most, but other things can come into play as well (time you've been in CA, helping out others on the forums, etc.)

The idea of resetting all C-ranks has been heavily debated by the staff. In the end we decided against it from a morale standpoint. As more of the site comes together, this point will likely resurface again.

Your current C-rank should have very little bearing on the brigade positions you can take. C/Os are not limited like before of putting a higher-ranking officer above lower-ranking ones, so as long as the member knows his/her stuff, there's no reason not to give them the position that's required in the tree.

Hope that helps clear some things up. :)
