    [MSN messenger has spy-ware in it witch can not be removed by Ad-aware it must be taken out in dos or by Re-Formatting - search for : msgsc.dll , msmsgs.exe ...]

    Does someone knows something about this??? i use pest patrol and it doesnt detects nothing... ad-aware doesnt detect anything too... what do u think we can do to clean MSN if its tru that it haves spyware????

      ...of various organisations reporting msn to have anti-piracy microsoft spyware. I was shown some screenshots early in the year of msn on xp apparently showing a "we have detected piracted microsoft software on this machine and have sent your ip address to microsoft teams for investigation". Whether it was real or faked - I can't say...but I certainly haven't used the msn client since, as I wouldn't put it past ms. If people want an alternative program to connect to msn...why not www.trillian.cc ?

        it was a bit unstable for me
        had a mind of it's own really
        and no
        no trojans
        it was just messed and reinstalls wouldn't fix it

        Trillian used to store passwords on simple files and simple encryptation.. is that fixed???
        u can break it real fast with jtr :(

          trillian password storage is the same as ever...I detailed the (weak) encryption in the latest hack faq: www.wangproducts.net

          However, I trust my local security not to let people get hold of the file to break the passes - whereas, I don't trust msn spyware. So it's whatever you consider the greater of two evils.
