I would have missed this one, it got buried in the forum "recent posts"!
Anyway, I'm shocked to say the least. Like Pixel said, in the not-so-past you've been an incredible glue holding things together and driving the community forward. You're a true diplomat, and a great motivator. I remember the times we had back in SAS - good stuff. I'm sorry that your time as CinC was wrought with shaky situations, but you worked around and approved things that kept the community hanging on so we could rebuild. Not every decision was a great one, but contrarily, not every one sucked either. You were at the very most, fair and balanced.
Anyway, I know it'll be a change of pace, but we'll miss you, and I know SJ will be a great CinC again.

I'm not sure what the real life issues are, but they must be pretty severe for you to step down. :( Really hope everything is okay. :( Please look after yourself, and hopefully you can rejoin us soon.

I don't really know what to say here without sounding trite. I remember when you were VCinC and doing all the work and keeping this place alive, and I thought you were the natural and fabulous choice for CinC. With that being said, I am sorry to hear this news, heartfelt indeed. You've done so much for this place over the years that it will be a real kicker to lose you. You're an outstanding and strong woman, with excellent leadership abilities --and I feel as if we're losing the heart of the place. I hope you'll visit from time to time, if things permit. You're a star, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. Additionally, I hope that everyone is behind your choice for a replacement, as I personally am.
