is it possible to connect to a non-broadcasting wifi network??
Currently i am playing around with this network (not other peoples network of course :P ) and i have turned broadcasting off, would it be possible to still connect to it the network if i have all the details?
If so could someone explain how it could be done or a link i can read up on?
cheers

Yes it is possible...
Turning off broadcasting means that someone scanning for "ANY" id won't see yours. This is the first thing you do in attempt to secure your wireless network (yes I know it can never be completely secured, but these things stop n00b-like neighbours from using your connection).
If you have the details of the ID and any encryption keys you should be able to enter them into your configuration settings and connect.
Think about it. If it were not possible you would disable your network as soon as you stopped broadcasting the ID ;)
On my laptop I go to the card's settings, and there is an option to enter the ID. I type it in (along with any other settings I have set up) and it finds it and connects.
It may be different for other cards, or APs tho. Your best bet would probably be to read the documentation for your card/AP (manufacturers website or something) to see how to do it.
Hope this helps
