    Greets,

Well, it seems that I can't configure my modem well under LINUX.

I have a COM3 modem working under DOS, I configured it the way it seemed obvious to be configured according to: "LINUX for dummies", "Le tout en poche: LINUX", and every help file with kppp on my LINUX box.

When I try to connect, it tells me that my modem is busy, I also tried to test my modem with the terminal and the modem query, and it told me the same thing.

Did I do something wrong? should I set or remove something in order that my modem stop being busy and starts working properly?

    Thank you.

If you have the winmodem, then your a dead meat and buy a good external modem.

I would try all over again ñt- [View] [Reply] [Top]
