Trance is under Dance actually, hence Trance Dance, then you have Dream which is under Trance, and Vocal Trance, and so on and so on....

Techno is more, computerized, energetic like Uzziah said where as Trance is that, Trancy. More smooth. It's really hard to explain but yeah, when you hear it you'll know it :)
