Polling and Votes

These are the guidelines for submitting polls and votes to CyberArmy:

Polls must not be of any offense to members of the community.
Polls will be moderated and removed if deemed unsuitable.
Any member can submit a poll via Feedback.
Obvious duplicate posts will be removed as will posts which do not follow the guidelines.
Polls posted as sticky are somewhat more official polls.
Replies to a poll response will be removed as they are not allowed due to the fact that polls are quantitative reseach and not qualitative.

Format for posting polls

Top level threads should be the poll with the title of the poll as the thread title. For example: 'Should cheese be creamy or solid?'

The information about the poll should be inside this thread with full details including the time span of the poll.

Votes should be a reply to this thread as 'Yes -nt-' 'No -nt-' or 'Abstain -nt-' and if required any further information or reasoning should be posted inside this reply. Posts with further information should not have '-nt-' appended to the vote.

Some instances could require a different answer or response from the members, for example: 'Which Linux distro is your most preferred? Knoppix, Ubuntu or Red Hat.'

In this case post the reply as either of the options.

Posts in reply to an already posted reply will be removed and the author contacted. This is for quantitative research only with no long discussions to gain a consensus vote.

Submit a new poll via the feedback link and await moderation.
