1-800-MY-APPLE is the apple store phone number... Apple doen't market the x86 version very much so you really have to dig around on apple's site. Just call the apple store and they can give you a price quote. The regular version of Mac OS X is about $129 for the PPC version. As for as I know, the only version for x86 is the Server edition, which is $499 for the PPC version with a 10 user liscence or $999 for an unlimited user liscence. There is another route though. If you develop for Darwin, you can get a version of Mac OS X Server for a MAJOR discount. You may also want to enquire about this. The x86 version of Darwin (the unix core of Mac OS X) is available for free download from http://www.opendarwin.com.
