I have an interface (eth0) which i have set up with 2 ip addresses (eth0 and eth0:0). When I ping the outside world it sends from the eth0:0 address rather than the eth0 address (not what I want it to do). The default route and all other routes are set to use dev eth0 (except of course the ones that need to be eth1 and lo ;).

Any suggestions on how to remedy this? (at the moment i am SNAT'ing all of my outgoing traffic that is not meant to be coming from that address to the correct one but that is obviously not a good option)
