if a) we're talking about two machines, and b) you're connecting via broadband, hook both machines into a router which offers NAT services and virtual servers. setup the router to point port 80 at the debian box with apache, and you should be good to go.

if you're going *through* the xp machine to a separate debian box, you'll need to install a second ethernet card and some sort of NAT services on the xp machine. you'll also need to adjust any firewalls you have on xp to allow people to connect to the debian box.

and if neither of the above configurations will be helpful, post more info here; we'll see what we can do. :)
