Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low [more]

I'm getting this error on a few of the machines here at the library. It says:

Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied. For more information, please see Help.

The Help wasn't all that helpful... I think it was written in some archaic form of Geek (yes, I meant to mispell that :P). Can anyone shed some light on this? Someone who speaks in a language I can understand?
