Mouse not working in Linux

I'm having problems with my mouse under Gentoo.

I checked to make sure I have PS/2 support in the kernel, etc. - and I do, but for some reason, I can't get any signal from my mouse (`cat /dev/psaux` shows nothing) It works fine on another computer, so it's not a problem with the mouse itself.

Any ideas?
