and no one knows why!

ONE OF the leading lights behind SuSE Linux, before it was swallowed whole by Novell, has quit and headed for a future unspecific.

Richard Seibt came to Novell through its 2004 acquisition of the Linux vendor and was hired as president of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.

No one at Novell is saying what made Seibt clean out his desk, but it seems to be just a coincidence that it follows a week after Novell made Ron Hovsepian president of worldwide field operations.
