any similar or same OS which are free is that Windows is fundamentally flawed, period. Go google about the topic and you'll come up with lots of documents about it. When will people realize that USING a COMPUTEr NEEDS some kind of knowledge. Same as with a car or with a microwave owen. You doesn't need to know the way how to make a new car, but you have to know how to operate it safely. Sure, your computer will never endanger your life, but think about the billions of [insert your favorite currency here] damage it causes to let thousands of uneducated (as in the usage of computer) users on the internet. Windows is flawed because its bloated to hell and because security wasn't a concern when building the OS. It's flawed because you cannot live without the gui and because its so complex. Complexity increases the possible number of bugs and vulnerabilities, thats why other OS modularize. No free software maker would follow the path which windows did. Free software makers doesn't have PR concerns. To sum it up, computer users NEED education. You can't replace it with "Windows" because it leads to problems.
