hi

don't fancy testing it and screwin up my XP by disablin it but to start RPC again, go to cmd prompt and type:

net start RpcSs

Hopefully that should start RPC off again which will give u access to MMC so you can set it to auto again....

Dunno if that'll help but it's worth a try at least.
