![]() 2nd Lt outlaw if its windows, make sure the connection isnt set to terminate after x minutes of inactivity. im on dialup and that kind of problem plagued me for a couple weeks...not sure if it applies to nix or broadband, but it might be a good idea to check that setting. even if the connection is not idle, windows doesnt count all activity as 'activity'. sometimes things like online games and other udp-only apps dont count (i think the idle detector only scans tcp) in winxp home (and most other win versions iirc) the setting is located in the connection properties window, under the options tab. it is a combo box labeled 'Idle time before hanging up:'. set the value to never and it should stop the connection from dropping.
