i was getting this error, and the OS would give 60 secs beofre shutting down. "RPC (remote procedure call) terminated unexpectedly)"

so i went to comp. management, services, and RPC properties. there, i disabled RPS for my only hardware profile. The result: I can use the computer at a bare minimal, i can access manager/services, i see the RPC thing, but when i right click on it and pres properties, so that i can change the disabled back to enabled, nothing happens. in fact, i ant access any property in the manager. i've looked through the registry took me three days). Im pretty sure the disbled thing is stored somehwere in the reg. If u know where, please tell me, so i can cnage the value manually.

cant even access the net, using XP. have to use win 98.
thnx a load,
-grenadier.

Not all the fancies of the devotee,
shall make fair pleasure aught but fair for me.
these things are good, this WOMAN and this WINE,
shall i exchange them for - hypocrisy?
