Hi

When I use any browser, even try to ping, sometimes certain sites do not
get recognized at all, and the number appears to be rising. One day, I
found that I could no longer access www.johnny.ihackstuff.com, but
without the www it worked fine. It's not that the page didn't exist
anymore, because it claimed that it could not resolve the site
instantly, and pinging it gave an instant unknown host error.

This wasn't too bad, as I could, and still can, access the site
without the www. A few weeks later, www.hackthissite.org stopped
working in exactly the same way, while hackthissite.org continued to
function normally. The main problem is that all the forms and
links, including the login form, point to www.hackthissite.org.

Other computers in my area can access the site fine, so it must be
something directly related to my computer and/or network. I thought it
interesting that this seemed to happen to sites with the word "hack"
in the url, but a google search for inurl:"hack" brings up a whole
list of such pages, which work fine.

YES! THIS IS ON MY WINDOWS BOX! Where else?
