XP Home problem

Gen k_phactor

A buddy of mine is having a problem with his Windows XP Home. It was shuit down improperly and now wants to boot in safe mode. The problem is it wont load. It freezes up. Now, I have taken his hdd and put it in my XP box and I can access the drive, just cant boot from it. Any suggestions on how I should proceed with restoring his drive.
