were these partitions that you previously had data on and the MBR got messed up or what? Usually if windows can detect the partition it should be able to read it, which tells me that these are probably just blank partitions without a built in file system (ie. ext2, NTFS, Fat, etc.) and need to be formatted. If there is indeed data on them I wouldn't know how to go about getting it off without sending the plates to a lab to have them analysed.
