Ker highwaystar first of all, do you have your kernel's sources installed? if not, be sure they're available somewhere under /usr/src. from what i'm reading about the driver for your particular NIC, it appears these are necessary in order to complete the build. secondly, more details about the "insmode" errors you're experiencing would be helpful. i suspect it might actually be "insmod", one of two commands that can be used to load kernel modules. if it fails to find the compiled driver, then trying to insmod the non-existent driver will throw an error. just a few thoughts - any more info you can provide will make it easier to figure out what the trouble is. peace Ret.
