No idea as to how the games will perform differently on Linux. Bound to be more Windows-based support, but you might find the games perform in comparable results. As for the card, I played Unreal Tournament in professional clans for a while now, and even after all the tweaking I've learnt along the way (gets very competitive - each FPS = critical), my nVidia GeForce 3 64MB DDR, gives me around 75FPS in Unreal Tournament. Your card is more powerful than that and will be able to handle a lot of the recent games releases. However, don't expect it to run Doom III too well when that comes out. You'll need a huge card for that. So much so, that whilst I do now need a new graphics card, I'm actually waiting for Doom III so that I can test some benchmarking.
