Linux games

Cpt Uzziah

In the past i have mostly been a console person but have decide to swtch over to pc games. I'm building a new pc and would like to just run linux only on it, i just did a little search and come across a site call tuxgames.com which has alot of popular games on it for linux, ie Quake and Unreal Tournament.

Anyway getting to the point, do these linux games run as good on linux as the windows versions run on windows. Also does anyone know if the nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128Mb DDR card is any good for games? I know it's a mid-range card.
