I did a little research and look what i found:
Nvidia has a site http://www.nvidia.com/linux with linux drivers, you probably should try that, they come with installer so it should be fairly easy. Google.com brings thousands of results when searching for "geforce4 mx440-se video card linux driver". Check these out too.
