well the base is working because the machine duel boots w/ winxp and internet works fine for me there. the base doesn't send beacon packets because I turned that off for better security, but that is not necessary if you know your SSID. Linux does recognize the card (is assigned eth1) and it is connecting with the base station (iwconfig returns the base station hardware address) but its like it can't get the IP from the dhcp server or something. I have to play with it some more I guess. The card is a linksys WPC11 pluged into a linksys WDT11.
