i' having problems with gcc

hello, there.
Actually I am newbie for Linux and I really enjoy using RedHat 8.0 rather than uncle Bills shit OZ. But I can't exec my *.exe files!
What kind of setps I do is: gcc -c map.cpp
link map.o map.cpp
link map.exe map.o (or) map.o map.exe
and from that step I can't use my executable file and I can't how to debug it.
Please anyone help, me.
