G'day all

I have a laptop, which contains all my data... therefore I'd like to back it up regularly, ie. once a week at least.

The only place I can back it up to is a linux machine.

I assume that using cron or at, it would be possible to make the linux machine (if switched on) duplicate specific directories recursively and store them on the linux HDD via samba ?
After that was complete, the plan would be to incorporate a CD burn of the same directories into the at or cron job. (there is a burner in that machine of dubious quality, how hard is it to burn accross a network ?)

If not, what are my options ?

Cheers
