Okay, WinXP Pro SP1. i have...

Administrator (passworded)
guandi (passworded)
Guest (passworded, but disabled in User config)
HelpAssistant (unknown, disabled in Comp Managment)
SUPPORT_388945a0 (unknown, disabled in Comp Managment)

Now, to increase the security of my box a bit i renamed Administrator to SilentBob and set the password to a 35 character alphanumeric string, i then setup a guest account called Administrator, that had 50 character alphanumeric pass (to make the kiddies waste a few CPU cycles if they get this far).

Now, when i rebooted to put my new Ram in an put my new case on (very nice iCute brushed metal and 'glo-blu' perspex with a X-Window kit, 6 80mm fans, black light tube and glowing cables/fan blades, Very nice ^_^ ) i get the following problem...

only my user name shows up (all well and good so far) when i click on it, it trys to log in on its own without asking for a password i then have to Ctrl-Alt-Del twice and hit Cancel, then Ctrl-Alt-Del twice again to drop me back to the main login screen. i try again, same thing, except it doesnt drop me to the login screen, it lets me enter my password in the box and then logs me in fine.

the only other difference is that it takes an extra 15~ seconds to boot up (i noticed becouse i usually i have time to turn on my desk fan, fairy lights and open a can of something before i swivel my chair just in time to click my username).

Any ideas?

~Laura~
