Thats not the issue I am at a cybercafe where I havent been to ca before so cookies and temp internet files cant be the issue.
Also when I give a wrong pass it does give the invalid password message...but when I give the correct pass it just returns me to the previous page without logging me in.

it doesn't have anything to do with whether you've been to ca before on that box or not, it's just the crap ie code and it's cookie/temp internet files handling routines. try to clear both and see if it works - or just download mozilla :P
