I had a ban set a few years ago(before this site was revamped) Are the original user names still in the database? Iso could i check on the status of the ban and maybe have it lifted. I beleive the rank was major or Lt.ker

Anyone who hadn't logged in since the new site came back online was deleted. Those who were not in a brigade had their ranks reset to Trooper.

"thebrain" isn't registered, so you can go ahead and sign back up.

Why do something like that? If they worked hard for their rank, now they have to get it over again? I understand that there were alot of people who never signed in again, and those I could understand killing. But people who did something? Anyways...

**bows out from snarkles** I STILL WANT A PIC!!!!

No, it was a needed-to-be-done thing... [View] [Reply] [Top]

The DB of users is big as is now....was bigger back around the time of the site change/ranksplit. After the new site came back - there were a ton of people not retired, but had done some challenged and then left...never to be seen again, or had to leave...no system is perfect.

The fact remains that it cleaned the DB of a ton of unused nicks and made it much nicer. Like I said - no system is perfect, so some people were just unable to get to the site and got their account deleted - happens all over.

          Laters.

You can fit hundreds of thousands of users in categorized tables...and all of them would take less than (probably WAY less) than a gig...

I would drop this now :) [View] [Reply] [Top]

ranksplit happened a long time and is pretty much a dead point. Just work hard in your brigade and you'll get to the top - American Dream right?

I dont think it was escalating into an arguement, but thanks for coming in :-D, ranksplit is long gone, but who knows if it may happen again?
