    Hi,
can someone of the CAIRC staff explain me what exactly is the difference between the "normal" Unreal ircd and this modified version. I would really appreciate it since I'm searching an ircd and am now comparing the different ones.
post an answer here or send me a cms.

    thx

There should be a changelog file included as far as I know. But you should not use CyberArmy Unreal IRCd 3.2 at all at the moment since it is still quite buggy...

well the only changes-files i found are those from the original Unreal ircd. But not those made by CAIRC.

You talked about bugs, are there some bigger problems?

          Hello, I'm CAUnreal's maintainer.

First let me warn you that CAUnreal3.2-Azura (based on Unreal3.2-beta10) is old, has unresolved bugs, and should not be used. I'll have it taken down from the website actually, when I can.

A newer version has been completed, and is in betatesting at the moment, and will be released sometime over the next few days, in the form of a patch to Unreal3.2-current, along with patches to ircservices from www.ircservices.za.net. Full changelogs will be included with the packages. These are far more stable, and we invite you to use them when they are available if you like. Until then, I recommend Unreal3.2-beta17 from www.unrealircd.com (you can patch it to CAUnreal if you like afterwards).

The purpose of the patches are to resolve bugs (many of which have been fixed by Unreal now), things that we consider oversights, and add several new features that we find useful. I don't want to get into them all here, but as I said above, a changelog will be available soon, so you can decide from that if you want to use this software.

I'll make a post when it's all uploaded, so stay tuned.

          HTH.
