Gamma Lt Ploy

Asking others opinions is well and good, but you'll get replies that suit others, not yourself.

Ask yourself the following (a couple of examples, not a complete list I know):

Do you want a GUI or not? (If so, GTK or Qt based?)
Do you want scripting abilities? (If so, in what languages?)

You should really be specifying what you need/prefer then you'll get useful answers.
