I <i>had</i> the same problem at my school. We also use bess. All you have to do is find a circumventor site that uses a cgiproxy to tunnel the webpages you want to visit. They usually block the proxy sites withing a week to a month and I got tired of trying to find a new site over and over so I made my own.

You can also boot from a live cd, unfortunatly bess is still enabled. Ive tried it.

The only other way I can think for you to bypass it physically ;-)
