![]() Maj Goldfish there's a backup of the hacktute in /files iirc. Its not a very good tutorial at all, you'd have no 'luck' with it these days. I suggest you start by learning to program, if your interested in websites, how they work etc etc.. try starting with HTML (a very basic markup language) and moving on when you're ready to more advanced stuff, like perl. If your not interested in that at all, and maybe would prefer to just make everyday windows programs, try learning VB.NET or C# or C even. At _lot_ of information about those languages can be found on google. Some sites you might want to have a look at: www.msdn.net www.google.com www.perl.org www.php.net www.astalavista.com (some interesting reading there sometimes ;-)) Pick somewhere to start, and stick to it, theres always sometihng to learn and always a way to improve. You'll get a very skewed impression of what hacking is if you stay around here.. i suggest you join other communities as well. Anyway, good luck, Phishy On 2004-12-06 01:45:36, SamSpade wrote >i've been out of that 'scene' for some time, but i've learned a lot simply joining a brigade here in cyberarmy and talking with some really smart people on the message boards and on IRC. The best way i learn is simply by doing so when i want to learn a new programming language, for instance, i start writing programs in it (looking up functions etc.) and you eventually will pick up enough to do it on your own.
