![]() Ret. CinC Chawmp Hmm... are you sure you don't have any proxy/firewall configured in your IRC client (the "firewall" section of mIRC's config, or similar in other clients)? I've heard of ISPs transparently proxying HTTP (port 80/tcp), but not other services - and, your message wasn't posted via a proxy afaict, certainly not the same one, so that probably rules that out. If it is transparent proxying of IRC connections only (maybe a strange invasive govt/ISP policy in your region?), I can't understand why the proxy would be open to the rest of the net, which it is. Please check those settings again, maybe try another IRC client, or a fresh install.
