Yeah, all my sockets are fire-hazards and have yet to damage any equipment lol :P

Although you're protected against surges, it might be worth checking how "clean" your electricity supply is (or calling someone out to do it ;p)

Unless you're using imported, cheap crap which haven't been safety checked - they shouldn't burn out :] (I don't know what it's like in the USA but everything to enter most european countries legally have to be checked; and even the ~$7 USD unbranded switch which gets really hot has never had any problems in 5 years + lots of cigarette ash being spilt on the vent ;)
