RE: DVD burner help

Just posting a small one, in the hope somebody has experience with it, or knows how to fix it.

Problem: My DVD Burner (compat. with + and - media) is an LG 4802B. It has recently lost the ability to recognize a DVDR or DVDRW recently. When either of the two are inserted (also tested with different brands and speeds) the DVD burner drive goes from reading 'DVD-RAM' in My Computer to 'CD Drive' and picking up a blank CDR. The drive plays regular DVD's such as movies fine, and it properly plays audio CD's, picks up regular CD's and can read/burn onto CDR's. I have tried all versions of the firmware, and I'm now on the current version A208. I also have the latest drivers, and have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.

Any assistance would be most appreciated all ;]
