![]() ![]() Alpha LtKer jehnx You may want to try getting a live linux distribution, such as knoppix, and booting into it. Once you've done that, you can browse to your Windows partition and see if you recognize the files that you're wanting to save. Then, you can take those files and upload them to someplace online for backup. Alternatively, you could install linux onto its own partition, then just copy the files over from the windows partition onto the linux, burn/save them, then just re-install whatever OS you're wanting to use onto the whole hard drive and delete both linux and Windows.
