You should do more research on the matter. Not all Antenna's are treated equally. You have directional antennas and omni-directional antennas. All have different shapes and sizes depending on what area you want covered and on the strength of the radio. If you want a good book to read I would suggest "The Essential Guide to RF and Wireless"
